Mini Style Wednesday: Chic Fil A Date!

Monday Night as we were walking out the door to go to Baseball practice, the bottom fell out and practice was cancelled. Since we were all ready to go somewhere we decided we would just go get us all a milkshake. What a treat. :-) Tori, my sister was also working so we were able to spend some time with her when she went on her break.

"Mommy WAIT. I am not ready."

"Ok...Go ahead :-)"

Mini Style

As you know Gracie loves to pick out her clothes, and I normally pretty much let her wear what she wants now, as long as it is weather appropriate. She picked out this outfit and I thought it was absolutely adorable! I love shorts with leggings myself, and even wore something similar that day.

She's a Natural!

Today Gracie starts her first baseball practice! She was supposed to start Monday but they cancelled practice because of the weather. We are beyond excited and already see how much of a natural she is.

We all went to the park after her birthday party and practiced with her on throwing, catching, and hitting the ball. She did AMAZING! The weather is still a bit chilly and I do not want little man getting sick so my mom will be watching him while we head off to practice tonight.

Here are a few pictures we took while at the park last weekend. Wish Gracie luck tonight!

Mini Style Wednesday

Yesterday was Gracie's official birthday so I let her pick out whatever she wanted to wear. She is finally starting to wear jeans (on a very special day) but I am hoping baseball will get her wearing more "pants" because she is going to have to wear cleats, sport pants, and a tshirt. Wish us luck :-)

This is what she decided on.

Frozen Takeover!

Since Gracie is totally obsessed with Frozen, I wanted to get her some special gifts and support those handmade mamas! She has TONS and TONS of toys, plus I knew she would be getting some of those at her party so I thought hard at what to get.

I first wanted to order her another chunky necklace from Affordable Custom Creations. I had worked with Lacey before and she makes adorable necklaces (see post here) so I messaged her and asked if she could create me an Elsa necklace, of course she said she would and when I received it I was so excited!! She even sent a special little hairbow for my girl!!

I then wanted to order some Frozen bows and I saw these precious ones on Fancy Free and Sparkly so I messaged that shop owner and scooped those up before they were sold out. I love how you can change out the clip with whatever character you want, and then still have 4 hairbows to wear! Win in my book.

I also knew I wanted to order something from the lovely Christina over at Emily Anns Kloset. I have been eyeing her adorable goodies for a LONG time now and so I couldn't wait to get this Frozen inspired Hoot Owl Doll. Christina came up with exactly what I wanted and she is an absolute joy to talk to.

Handmade shops are the best, because you know you are supporting a family by purchasing from them and you develop relationships!

Lastly I had to order her a party shirt so I went to Ebay for that. I love it!!

I am seriously so thrilled about this party!! I am can't wait for Gracie to see all of her surprises and have a blast bouncing around with the other kids :-)

Mini Style Wednesday!

Gracie loves picking out her clothes and you would never know by this picture but we fought for 3 hours straight about this outfit. She hates jeans and hated the sweater too....but Mama wins and I am not wasting my money buying clothes she refuses to ever wear.

Eventually she got over it and we worked together and I allowed her to wear her fancy leggings UNDER the jeans....Yeah...she is something huh?

How adorable is this???

I love it! She looks absolutely precious...AND she got just about a million compliments on how much everyone loved her outfit (thank God) so hopefully we can squeeze a pair of jeans in here and there...

Hat- American Eagle( given by my sister)
Sweater- Arizona (given by a friend)
Jeans- Childrens Place (5.00 thrifted)

Mini Style Wednesday

Today is ANOTHER snow day around here and this time it is much more than last week. We are super cozy inside and....Daddy is even home! YAY!

Last week I did a post on Gabriel all about Mobile Mommy Designs, check it out here if you missed it. This week since I couldn't get Gracie's Mini Style Wednesday photos without her new doll by Janel I figured I would tell you guys about her amazing shop again. She makes any type of plush toys, pillows, and even jewelry. I especially love her dolls made for childhood cancer. Such an AMAZING cause. Her prices are unbeatable and she is such a joy to work with. Gracie loves her doll because she looks just like her, brown hair and blue eyes. She hasn't put it down since we received it.

For our Mini Style Wednesday this week Gracie is wearing:

Necklace: Grandparents Gift
Shirt: Baby Gap  (thrifted)
Leggings: Circo (Gifted)

One of the few things I can get her to wear is leggings....I am ready for spring so she can start wearing her dresses and we will not have to fuss about clothes everyday.

Mini Style Wednesday

Last night it snowed here. It wasn't tons but enough for the schools to close today. Of course down here in the south if we get more than an inch of snow they close the schools. In fact, they even closed a couple weeks ago because it was SO cold. That was the first time I had ever heard of that one...

I was excited to get Gracie up this morning to go outside and play. She was too until I told her she had to wear her snowsuit and NOT a dress. She was mad, and you can totally tell in the pics....

Can't you see the excitement!!

Diva all the way in this house....

Coat and Snowsuit: Given by a friend
Hat: Handmade gift
Scarf: Thrifted
Boots: Given by a friend

Even though she isn't happy in these pics, I am happy to have them because they make me laugh. I will always enjoy telling her one day when she gets older she was angry because I wouldn't let her were a sleeveless dress outside in the snow.

My brain is in overload!

I have been feeling lately like my brain is going to explode because I have so much going on this year and it is totally stressing me out. I am a very high strung person anyway so when things are not structured it drives me insane.

This month I have to think about registering Gracie for the Charter School. We have a Charter School here in town where it is like a lottery and the children are randomly chosen to get in. I am hoping she gets in. THIS is a huge thing on my mind right now. I also need to get her "real" birth certificate. I have the mother's copy you get from the hospital but I have not gotten the real one yet. I have to look into that soon. IF, she does not get into the charter school she will go to a public school. The district we are in is actually not to bad so if she had to go to the public school I would not TOTALLY flip...

Since I will be going taking her to school and I have children here that spend the day with me we are going to have to get a van. We are not looking for a brand new van, however, it does need to be dependable because I will be taking her to and from school each day. Usually we do not have so much going on, but this year it seems like so much to prepare for  and I am terrified, not to mention the fact that I do not want her to even go to school. I know she will love it but I am totally being selfish and want her here with me where I know she will be safe...

Mini Style Wednesdays

This week I am doing a special Mini Child Wednesday (formerly known as Sartorial Kid) because I received TWO amazing handmade dresses from Glitter Princess Galore. This shop is ran by Janna and Hilliary and they are beyond talented. This week I will be featuring Janna's dress which is an adorable gingerbread girl tutu dress.

Gracie totally flipped when she saw this and felt like a supermodel in it. She kept walking around prancing and watching her tulle bounce back and forth. I love how this amazing shop puts so much love and detail into their pieces. When Hilliary and Janna asked for Gracie's measurements I knew the dresses would fit like a glove and they do.

Glitter Princess Galore can make ANY custom princess dress, along with Tutus, headbands, and Costumes.

I so much enjoy doing this linkup because although I do not LOVE taking pictures, Gracie sure does and I enjoy getting pictures of my children. Gabriel will hopefully enjoy them just as much :-)

Messy Rooms Product Review

Happy 2014 guys. I hope you are all starting your New Year off right with tons of happiness and fun! We have been super busy over at my house. Yesterday was my Grandad's 70th Birthday so we went over and celebrated with him. It was a wonderful day.

Gracie loves to get dressed up, I have told you all that before so why would yesterday be any different. We usually fight about wearing jeans but thankfully since we received our Messy Rooms shirt we have a happy mommy and princess. Anna who runs this business is super talented. She can make pretty much any custom shirt you would like. We chose Sofia the First because Gracie LOVES her.

When I opened the package I was pleasantly surprised at how adorable is was. I wasn't sure what to expect, I thought it would just be a Sofia character on the front but Anna went above and beyond and made it really stand out with the tulle coming off of the shirt. I am a huge fan of personalization clothing for my children and this shirt was perfect in every way.

So if you are looking for a special gift for a loved one or your own children please go check out Anna's fantastic creations over at Messy Rooms. You will NOT be disappointed and you will be supporting handmade which is ALWAYS a plus :-)

This is a product review, I was not paid for this post but I was given a product to write my honest opinion on. All thoughts are my own.
