Would you like that cooked or fresh outta the water?

I am on my diet ya know....and well I am trying to expand my taste buds and open up my pallet if you will and let me tell you...so far, it sucks.

I am a super picky eater but I am trying to be a healthier person so tonight while people all around me ate wings.....my favorite....I decided to order the salmon. I thought Applebee's would have it made all good...and, well they didn't.

It totally sucked and when I took the first bite I was totally sickened, but since food ain't cheap I had to eat it and literally almost couldn't finish because it tasted like the fish was just caught out of the water and thrown on my plate. To sit here and write this thinking about it makes me nauseous. I think i will be sticking to my Turkey burgers/bacon, and chicken for a while before I venture out to any more new foods.

No...But really...

My To Do List for Thanksgiving

I don't know about you but I am in shock Thanksgiving is this week...like for real. I have said it before and I will say it again...This year has flown. I honestly hope the years ahead don't go this fast but I have been told by my elders they just get faster....I am not ready for that.

Moving on to something more cheerful. What are you guys making for Thanksgiving? Do you cook a huge feast for everyone or do the family members chip in and each person bring a few dishes? In my family, we go to my Grandparents house around noon and have our Thanksgiving lunch. My grandma has ALWAYS made everything and everyone just comes and eats. The older I get the more I have no clue how she does it...that is ALOT of cooking. This year for her house I am taking a dessert. I have decided to make the yummy reeses/cookie dough brownie. I am super excited because I KNOW it is going to be amazing! :-)

When we leave my grandparents we then go to my Mom's along with my Grandad and all my aunts, uncles, and cousins. Since my grandmother passed when I was a child everyone brings several dishes each year. This year I am bringing pigs in a blanket and biscuits. Two things I LOVE! I love thanksgiving because it is all about having fun, eating, and spending time with family. I so much enjoy spending time with my family and wish we ALL got to get together more.

I have made it a tradition for about 9 years now to go the dreadful Black Friday shopping but honestly this year I do not think I will be going. This could VERY well change but at this time I do not want to go...it is a hassle and it makes me tired. I also don't feel like dealing with people who are fighting over toys or gifts to save a few dollars. Trust me, I WANT and NEED to save the few dollars but is my small amount of sanity worth losing? I think not...

We will see though..

Will you be going Black Friday shopping in the comfort of your home and ordering offline or will you fight the madness and get out in the mayhem?!

Happy Tuesday!!

Favorite Places We Like To Stuff Our Face

If you know me, you know I love to eat. Love. To. Eat. Like seriously. It is really not a good thing, which is why I am taking the V3 and it has totally helped me and all my unnecessary eating habits. I wanted to tell you a few of my favorite places to eat at and why. Restaurants are a big deal to me because we normally go out to eat once a week, usually on a Saturday night, and we always love hearing of new places. These four are my favorite.

1. I love Chilis. I love their atmosphere and their food. As odd as it sounds, my favorite thing they have  is the corn. I just love it. The spices all over it are SO yummy! The chicken crispers and chocolate molten cake are a must have too....AH. I can feel the pounds adding on as I think about it.

2. Applebee's. This is such a great place. Rick and I have going here since I was a kid. We have a relationship with their hot wings. OH. MY. Best Ever.

3. Cracker Barrel is the most country, home cooked food you will find in a restaurant. They have SO many amazing dishes, from their dumplings to their biscuits. I could eat here every day....and also be 500 pounds....cooked with butter and made with love. :-) Their shopping store attached is super cool too! I have bought SO many Christmas gifts for family. The products are really unique.

4. Rick and I were turned on to Wild Wing Cafe by Joni. She knew we loved wings as much as she did, and of course once we checked it out we quickly made it a favorite. Rick so loves the style and setup too, everything is sports and TVs are up in every area you look.

These are my favorite places to go out to eat with family and friends what is yours?
