Mini Style Wednesday!

Gracie loves picking out her clothes and you would never know by this picture but we fought for 3 hours straight about this outfit. She hates jeans and hated the sweater too....but Mama wins and I am not wasting my money buying clothes she refuses to ever wear.

Eventually she got over it and we worked together and I allowed her to wear her fancy leggings UNDER the jeans....Yeah...she is something huh?

I love it! She looks absolutely precious...AND she got just about a million compliments on how much everyone loved her outfit (thank God) so hopefully we can squeeze a pair of jeans in here and there...

Yesterday I went Prom Dress shopping with my little sister. It was SO much fun. Surprisingly I have never done anything like that and it was such a treat. It totally made me wish I would have went to prom....or had a wedding. My mom and I were so excited to see her in dress after dress. Since I never got to experience such I figured it would be fun to create my Polyvore set this week around what I would have chose to wear....SOO IN LOVE with these beauties.

Mini Style Wednesday

Today is ANOTHER snow day around here and this time it is much more than last week. We are super cozy inside and....Daddy is even home! YAY!

Last week I did a post on Gabriel all about Mobile Mommy Designs, check it out here if you missed it. This week since I couldn't get Gracie's Mini Style Wednesday photos without her new doll by Janel I figured I would tell you guys about her amazing shop again. She makes any type of plush toys, pillows, and even jewelry. I especially love her dolls made for childhood cancer. Such an AMAZING cause. Her prices are unbeatable and she is such a joy to work with. Gracie loves her doll because she looks just like her, brown hair and blue eyes. She hasn't put it down since we received it.

I am so loving this outfit. Today I had to go to the grocery store and I wore something a little similar, minus the boots. I want these....like yesterday. Also I am really feeling this beanie. Whenever I go anywhere I make a list and this notepad would be so perfect to carry around with all my little list....LOVE it!

I created this set a while back and I totally LOVE it. Once I get my weight going  in the direction I want, I would love to go buy a super cute date night outfit and actually go on a REAL date. I am talking like a nice restaurant and maybe somewhere special after. Rick and I go out to eat often with the kids, usually places like Applebee's, Chili's, or Cracker Barrel and don't misunderstand me, I love those places but I want a real date night and actually get fixed up and feel good about myself. Unlike tonight when we were out and Gabriel was screaming because he was constipated so I had to run to the car with him and "help" him get his poop out.

Needless to say when I finally got back inside I was no longer hungry.....

Messy Rooms Product Review

Happy 2014 guys. I hope you are all starting your New Year off right with tons of happiness and fun! We have been super busy over at my house. Yesterday was my Grandad's 70th Birthday so we went over and celebrated with him. It was a wonderful day.

Gracie loves to get dressed up, I have told you all that before so why would yesterday be any different. We usually fight about wearing jeans but thankfully since we received our Messy Rooms shirt we have a happy mommy and princess. Anna who runs this business is super talented. She can make pretty much any custom shirt you would like. We chose Sofia the First because Gracie LOVES her.

When I opened the package I was pleasantly surprised at how adorable is was. I wasn't sure what to expect, I thought it would just be a Sofia character on the front but Anna went above and beyond and made it really stand out with the tulle coming off of the shirt. I am a huge fan of personalization clothing for my children and this shirt was perfect in every way.

Girl Talk

I have never had perfect skin and it seems like I still have periods where my face will break out like I am in high school which is totally not cool. I have never been one of those people who spend a chunk of change on decent makeup but I am really starting to consider it. I think the cheap foundations I am wearing has something to do with my face breaking out like it is. I want to ask you ladies.What is your favorite foundation?

I am hoping to possibly be able to get some after Christmas and some help in the right direction would be lovely.

What a crazy busy weekend it has been! I have not stopped...I guess that comes with the season though and getting all ready for Christmas. I love clothes, like really love them and I so enjoy putting outfits together. I have been wondering what I will be wearing to my family's Christmas get together this year and I totally would be thrilled to find this outfit.

What are you wearing to your Christmas gatherings?

How cute right?? I don't think I have ever seen a sweater like that in stores around my area so I would have to order it...and the boots...AHH.. LOVE, and the perfect purse to go with it. 

Here are my answers to Joni's Questions from last week.

1. What is your favorite holiday movie? I love Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. Always a must see in this house.
2. What is your favorite soup to enjoy during the winter?   I love Chicken Noodle Soup! Also some yummy Tomato with Grilled Cheese...YUMMM.
3. Which do prefer, coffee or hot chocolate? Honestly I do not LOVE neither but if I had to pick I would chose Hot Chocolate because I HATE coffee.
4. What is your favorite tart or candle scent for this time of year? I love Apple Pie and a Christmas Tree smell.
5. White lights or colored lights on your Christmas tree? Color ALWAYS. I love colorful lights. Next year I am hoping to add to my collection of the huge old bulbs like my grandparents have.

Today was a busy day and I am just now sitting down at 8:54. I am tired and a little grouchy but whatev's thats life and I will be better tomorrow. I don't know what your weather is like but here in North Carolina it is cold and yucky! In fact it was FREEZING today. I LOVE Christmas and all of these items are PERFECT and totally my style. The Christmas Story is a must see at my house, and this Merry Christmas pillow is precious. If you haven't figured it out each week, I love black and although I love color everywhere in my house I usually prefer to wear black and this sweater with leggings and socks is calling out to me, also the mug and blanket.....LOVE.

The Polyvore Files---The Princess has arrived

Gracie loves Polyvore as much as I do. She even has the app on her Ipod...haha...No kidding, she puts together little outfits for us ALL the time. Since we did Gabriel's post last week I wanted to find one of the many Gracie has put together. I let her choose which one she wanted to share and this is what she has picked to share with you all...

First of all she had to have the sparkly nail polish because all princesses wear that you know? 

Then we had to have TWO pair of shoes. Both are print and that's what she loves. 

The little blue heart pouch is her purse. She said it is just her size and is sparkly enough for her. 

The owl picture is for me. She said, "Mommy, I know you love owls so this will be for you."She is so caring all the time, even when she acts her worst, she still cares about your feelings and usually feels awful about her behavior after she realizes what is going on. 

The black and pink dress...well we both loved that. I think it is just adorable. She begged me to please buy her that for her birthday. I will try and find one similar. 

The lips, again, SPARKLE. Sparkle is everything to my child.

 I love the saying "Dream Big Little One" so I asked her if we could put this on her post, she loved it. Last but not least, Gracie had to have this little girl with her outfit. She told me that the little girl "favored" her (yes, she really said favored) and that she loved her outfit.

Date Night....Kinda

So last night on a spur of the moment whim, me and rick decided to go out to dinner, money is tight but we wanted a night out so we headed to good ole Cracker Barrel. If you follow along on my little blog you will already know that is one of my favorite restaurants. I got myself all fixed up and even was  able to finally wear my new Conley Crochet headband out in the world. Ever since I have chopped all my hair off I have not felt the best about myself. I have been feeling insecure and way more exposed. I used to use my hair as a shield and now I am totally naked! This beautiful headband turned my confidence back up and I actually felt pretty! YAY!

I have been wearing this all week and even if I look bummy, when I add this, it makes me feel cute. I LOVE the huge bow and the comfort of it. Comfort is a huge deal for me because a lot of times headbands give me a headache but not this one! I can't tell you how many compliments I have received on it just in ONE night! 

Our date night ended up being a total flop from crappy service and a long wait so we walked out and just picked up take out. BOOOO! Rick did tell me multiple times he thought I looked so pretty so that was a plus. We came home with our little family, let the kids play and watch TV and we caught up on a couple series. Overall the night was different than planned but a good night nonetheless and I am super happy to have gained a little confidence back.

Gracie loves a dress. She wears one every single day pretty much, unless I fight with her and beg her to wear jeans. She tells me ALL the time. I hate jeans, I hate jeans, I just hate them. I am sorry but the child has at least 10 pairs of jeans and I refuse to throw money away so she must wear jeans. If we have a special occasion like this birthday party I of course let her wear what she wants, so she chose this dress. The child has serious style. She puts super cool outfits together and I would not be surprised if she grows up to be some kind of fashion guru.

My New Wallet

I have mentioned time and again how much I love Etsy. I love to support handmade businesses that are trying to grow, and after getting to know so many of the creators it makes me want to buy even more. These people put SO much effort and time in making your product special and personalized. Saturday I received my wallet from The Ruffled Stitch. I love it so much! There is tons of space for me to put business cards, money, credit cards or whatever else I need. The really cool thing about it is that it has a slot behind the zipper part where you have dividers and can label them to put whatever you need. This. is. perfect. for. me! I am such an organized person because if things aren't I will forget EVERYTHING. Darcy, who owns the shop is amazing to work with as well. She is super sweet. If you haven't checked out her wallets, you really should.

Here is mine! How cute is it?!? I am head over heels for it. In fact, when I went out this weekend I received TONS of compliments :-) Here are a few other of her wonderful creations.

Seriously adorable right?! I am thinking of getting my sister the red one for Christmas, looks totally "her".
